About Loopedn
Loopedn helps companies turn event conversations into sales. Attendees scan a Loopedn QR code at a booth, session, or webinar and answer a few quick questions. From there, automation does the work: Loopedn writes a personalized follow-up for every attendee within minutes, routes each lead to the right salesperson based on rules like territory or role, and gives event and marketing teams clear visibility into the return on their event budget.
Our customers are sales and marketing teams at companies that exhibit at trade shows, host workshops, and run webinars. Loopedn is priced per person at $29 per month or $290 per year, with a free plan to get started.
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Intern to open and grow Loopedn's presence in the health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness industries. This industry runs on events: expos, certification workshops, gym and franchise conferences, and product sampling booths. Many of these companies also run webinars and virtual classes. Loopedn turns those into automated lead generation too: a QR code or link on the webinar slides captures each interested viewer, and Loopedn follows up and routes the lead with no manual work. Every one of those events produces leads that too often go cold.
The ideal candidate has studied fitness management, personal training, or a related health field. That background matters. It lets you speak the language of gym owners, supplement brands, and wellness companies, and it makes you credible when you reach out. You will learn a complete B2B sales process from first contact to closed deal, and you will be paid for every deal you bring in.
Responsibilities
- Research and build a target list of companies in health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness that exhibit at or host events.
- Identify the right decision makers at each company, such as marketing managers, event managers, franchise development leads, and sales directors.
- Reach out by email, LinkedIn, and phone to introduce Loopedn and book product demonstrations.
- Run discovery conversations to understand each prospect's events, lead follow-up process, and goals.
- Give live Loopedn demonstrations, including a hands-on walkthrough of the attendee experience.
- Guide interested prospects through a free trial and on to a paid plan.
- Track all activity and pipeline in Loopedn's own lead management tools, keeping records accurate and current.
- Build an industry event calendar, for example health club, fitness franchise, and natural products shows, and plan outreach around it.
- Share industry feedback with the product team so Loopedn fits health and fitness businesses better.
- Attend regional industry events to see lead capture in action and meet prospects in person.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in kinesiology, exercise science, fitness management, nutrition, health sciences, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of the fitness, personal training, or nutrition industry.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own schedule remotely.
- Comfortable reaching out to people you have not met.
Preferred
- Concentration in fitness management or personal training.
- Hands-on experience in a gym, studio, athletic, or wellness setting.
- A current or in-progress certification in personal training, strength and conditioning, or nutrition coaching.
- Interest in sales, business development, or entrepreneurship.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, email outreach, and basic CRM tools.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, the intern will be able to:
- Describe and carry out each stage of a B2B sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demonstration, proposal, and close.
- Research a market segment and build a qualified prospect list.
- Communicate the value of a software product to business buyers in the health and fitness industry.
- Manage a sales pipeline and report on activity and results.
- Apply knowledge from their fitness management coursework to real business decisions in the industry.
Compensation
This is a commission-only position.
- Rate: 40% of first-year revenue collected from each new customer you source and close in the health, fitness, nutrition, or wellness industries.
- Timing: Paid monthly, as the customer's payments are received.
- No cap: There is no limit on commission earnings.
Professional Development
Credibility in this industry comes from credentials. Galixi will pay 50% of the cost of study programs for approved industry certifications, and will reimburse 100% of the exam fee for any industry certification exam passed during the internship. Examples include:
- NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT)
- ACE Certified Personal Trainer
- ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT)
- NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coaching Certification (PN-L1)
- NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (NASM-CNC)
- ACE Health Coach Certification
This is a suggested list, not a complete one. Other certifications relevant to the health, fitness, and nutrition industries may be approved on request.
Supervision and Support
- Weekly one-on-one meeting with the Founder / CEO to review goals, pipeline, and progress.
- A written weekly status report from the intern to the supervisor, covering what worked well, the improvements planned for the following week, and a summary of product enhancements needed to better serve the health, fitness, and nutrition industries.
- Onboarding training on Loopedn, sales fundamentals, and outreach best practices.
- A written mid-term and final evaluation for the intern's academic program.
- Willingness to complete any forms and meet with the student's faculty internship coordinator.
