Leads beyond your 50-lead limit for that event are captured and saved, and they stay locked until you upgrade. A locked lead does not open from your lead list. You still see a count of how many are waiting, so you always know what is there. Nothing is ever deleted, and upgrading opens all of them at once.
The cap follows the reader, not the event. On a free account you open the first 50 leads of any event, including events your company owns, so a Pro seat is what lets a rep work a busy show end to end.
